Summer Design Internship at the Museum of the Moving Image (paid)

Graphic Design and Exhibitions Intern
The primary focus of this internship will be on producing and managing the graphics required for a new exhibition opening during the internship, as well as for all the new programs associated with the exhibition. Building on that, the Intern’s involvement in exhibitions will be expanded into the broader activities of the Exhibitions department, and the role graphic design plays in those activities.
The Intern will take part in the exhibition installation. During that time, all the graphics will be installed, and the Intern will work closely with the Assistant for Graphic Design and Production installing texts, graphic images, and other signage required. The Intern will also be involved in the daily evaluation and implementation of plans for visitor flow and traffic management, and assist with the production and installation of any additional graphics required.
In conjunction with its exhibitions, the Museum offers educational and interpretive activities that take place in its galleries, as well as in dedicated education spaces. These programs also require various printed materials that the Intern will work closely with the team to design and produce.
