JOB/INTERNSHIP: EXHIBITION CATALOGUE DESIGN / PAID

The Kupferberg Center for the Arts seeks a Design Intern to assist in the creation of an exhibition catalogue for The Fabric of Cultures: Objects, Memory, Technology, to be shown at the Queens College Art Center gallery during the Fall 2017 semester. The intern will work closely with the exhibition curator and Art Center Director.
Duties:-assist in gathering images, text, and biographical information from catalogue contributors -develop layout of images and text for an exhibition catalogue of approximately 100 pages -other duties to be assigned as planning continues
Qualifications: -Knowledge of and experience with InDesign -Creative problem solving skills -ability to take initiative as well as work collaboratively -strong organization skills; ability to adhere to deadlines when given reasonable advanced notice -strong speaking and writing skills; comfort communicating with faculty members, artists, and campus administrators -professional demeanor
Compensation: $13/hr., not to exceed 160 hrs., over the course of the Spring 2017 semester.
