Bloomberg Arts Mentors Summer Internship

The Bloomberg Arts Mentors program is a paid summer internship for undergraduate college students and recent college graduates with a strong interest in the arts and culture of New York City. This is an excellent opportunity for students who would like to gain experience in arts and educational program management and mentor teens as they prepare to transition to college.

The program is sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies and the New York City cohort is administered by Studio Institute, a nonprofit organization that is committed to apprenticeship-based learning, professional development for teachers, visual arts curricula, and sharing arts education research with communities nationwide. Studio Institute partners with a broad range of arts and cultural institutions to provide meaningful career training and expose interns to the multiple professional pathways in the arts.

This part-time position runs for ten weeks, and the rate is $25.50/hr for postgraduates and $24/hr for undergraduates. Bloomberg Art Mentors work approximately 26 hours a week. Postgrad candidates must be current seniors (expected graduation date of spring term 2025) or have graduated in 2023 or 2024 from a college or university within the five boroughs of New York City or must be a current permanent resident of the City. Undergrad candidates must be current sophomores/rising juniors or current juniors/rising seniors in a college or university within the five boroughs of New York City, or must be permanent residents of the City. Undergrad applicants must be enrolled full time during the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 academic years.
