At Jack Morton, we value our interns and want to ensure that we provide them with an experience that allows them to learn about the business and grow their skills. Jack interns will get hands-on program experience, learn about the marketing industry and have the opportunity to grow their professional skills.  In turn, our Jack teams will tap into all the knowledge you bring to the table.
Our 2016 Summer Internship Program will run from June 13th – August 19th, 2016. This is a 10-week paid, full-time opportunity geared towards college students, recent grads, or currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a related field. In addition to working with the Jack teams, you will participate in our Summer Speaker Series, an independent intern project, team outings, and more!

Qualifications

 

The Broadcast Intern will work directly with a multidisciplinary design team to visualize solutions for broadcast studio environments and live events. This is a great opportunity to learn from a talented group that has won 21 Emmy Awards and counting. Jack’s team of Illustrators, Designers, and Draftsmen  have worked on such memorable television sets as ESPN SportsCenter, NBA on TNT, The Daily Show, Late Night with Stephen Colbert, and more.
Key Accountabilities
• Creative, detail-oriented and highly organized; able to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently; can execute individual projects and work in small teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a proactive attitude; able to present ideas and designs clearly and effectively; able to visualize ideas with a high level of detail.
• Comfortable working in highly collaborative/team-based environment.  Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Familiar with construction document preparation/organization; understanding of materials, finishes, and construction detailing.
Requirements
• Sketching, technical drawing, digital rendering, and model making
• Experience in MS Office Suite; Drafting proficiency (Vectorworks preferred, AutoCAD okay); Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator proficiency is a huge plus.
• Portfolio demonstrating layered collage, abstracts and photo based backdrops
• Knowledge of graphics design production, solid prepress for print and environmental graphics
• Experience with 3D software or motion graphics design and/or designing textures for 3D environments desired but not required
