Priceline is seeking a thoughtful and excited design intern to join the flights team this summer. Our mission is simple – To deliver the best travel deals for our customers where, when, and how they want them.
Description:
As a design intern on the flights team, you will work side-by-side a team of designers, developers, and product owners to help create a world-class flight booking experience. Besides working with a design mentor, at priceline.com, you will also join a large group of summer interns and have an opportunity to be a part of company wide intern events including lunch and learns, team building, and a fun outing to an NYC event.
Responsibilities:
- You will be treated similarly to a junior designer and will be involved in the whole design process… from wireframes to prototypes to high-fidelity comps to writing design specs for the developers.
- Work closely with other designers, product owners, and developers to define user issues and come up with the best solutions.
- Maintain visual guidelines to ensure consistent representation of Priceline’s brand.
What we’re looking for in a design intern:
- Internships are a learning experience! We’re looking for someone who has an open mind and is ready to learn about being an in-house UX/UI designer.
- You should be abundantly curious, welcome feedback, and be a dreamer of ideas.
- You are a go-getter, can be resourceful, and work independently.
- Good communication skills! You will join a collaborative team and will need to communicate your designs to your fellow teammates.
- Working towards a degree in graphic design, communications design, interaction design, or other similar design field.
- A portfolio with great examples of design work (a huge plus if you have a web/mobile design project).
- Strong skills with Adobe CS.
- A love of travel!
