Congratulations to Lauren Winter who is a semifinalist for the 2013 Adobe Design Achievement Awards in Packaging Design. Lauren created her Swizzle Package Design project in Professor’s Salcer’s Package Design class (ARTS 370). We will all be rooting for Lauren when the winners of the competition are announced in October.

We are pleased to announce that Andrés Vera Martínez will be teaching Introduction to Comics (ARTS 370) on Sunday afternoons this spring semester.
Andrés Vera Martínez was raised in Austin, Texas. He has created comics and illustrations for Scholastic, Simon & Schuster, Lerner Books, CBS/Showtime, and the New York Times. His work has received awards and recognition from the Junior Library Guild, Society of Illustrators, 3×3 Magazine, and American Illustration.
