Cultural Research Summer Fellow (Remote + Paid)

Summer Artivist Fellowship Program

TaskForce is excited to announce the Summer Artivist Fellowship Program to be launched in June 2020. COVID-19 and its devastating effects on job security and employment availability has heightened a sense of instability among recent graduates. TaskForce would like to help address this need by providing opportunities to learn and gain invaluable skills in an intensive three-month program. Under the leadership of staff with expertise in the fields of marketing, analytics, partnerships management and design, Fellows will delve into projects with the ultimate goal of shaping public opinion and policy through creative culture. Highlights of the program include featured monthly speakers and a collaborative project.

Cultural Research Summer Fellow

TaskForce seeks a Fellow interested in digital design trends as it relates to current political and cultural events. The Fellow will report to the Head of Design and provide research support to the design team to inform gif and meme creation.
You will learn about:

  • Impact of design in the digital space
  • Using data to generate more impact
  • How data and trends can drive artistic approach

Recent college graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Fellows will be working remotely. This is a paid fellowship from June-August 2020.

Paid Full-time Job Opening: CUP Change In Design Fellowship

The Center for Urban Pedagogy (CUP) is announcing the call for the 2020 CUP Fellowship for Change in Design! Learn more on the Application Page.
The CUP Fellowship for Change in Design is a paid, year-long, full-time, training program designed to promote and support individuals in gaining the skills, contacts, and experience to help them excel in their design careers. The Fellowship is an initiative to support the development of a pipeline of talented individuals from historically under-represented communities into the design fields, and to dismantle the systemic biases that stand in the way of their advancement as leaders in these fields. The 2020 Fellow will be selected through a competitive, juried process and will work with CUP from July 2020–June 2021.
Applications should include:
– A cover letter addressing why you are interested in the Fellowship, what you hope to get out of it, and what your goals are for your career
– A current resume
– A portfolio of your design work. We are looking for your skills to work on a range of visuals and with type. Please describe the context that your projects were completed in and your role.
– A list of 3 references, with contact information

Each year, AIGA NY connects a select group of professionals from the design industry and allied fields with individuals who are starting off in their careers to help them accelerate their career, personal and leadership growth. The program is free and open to both AIGA and non-AIGA members.

This Immersion Day is focused specifically on the Experience Design practice at Ogilvy and provides a holistic view of UX and design thinking through activities and Q&A.
This day is perfect for students who want to learn about human-centered design, the digital transformation of brands, and how to get into this industry.
