The Internship Program at Company Ventures, now in its 7th year, is currently recruiting interns exclusively from CUNY schools for their Summer 2021 cohort. This paid internship program, which includes professional development, networking and mentoring, has been conducted remotely since Summer 2020, and will be remote again this year. Company Ventures, home to Grand Central Tech and the Urban Tech Hub, is a technology and innovation community in the heart of midtown. Over 170 top-tier startups are part of their community. Interested undergraduate students should be poised for success in a fast-paced startup, working on small teams where demands can change daily. Interns are hired full-time for eight weeks to work in various disciplines:

Mentorship Includes:

About Product Design Internships
Like our Product Designers, Product Design interns will get to work on projects that have a real, tangible impact on our readers, subscribers and internal teams like the newsroom. In these roles, interns will be embedded on a team of designers, editors, researchers, engineers, and/or product managers and contribute to the work of their assigned teams. You’ll have strong mentorship and support from our Product Design team over the course of 10 weeks, and you’ll come away with a better sense of the practice and craft of Product Design and how it functions in a real world setting.

This is an entry-level position intended for those who haven’t had access to many internships or opportunities to work in an office or nonprofit environment. We’re looking for someone with a passion for social justice, great attention to detail, and strong verbal and written communication skills. While research is a part of this position, it’s more of a general support role.
Dates for the internship are flexible, but we’re looking for someone who can work in the office for a minimum of 3, 8-hour days a week, for 10-weeks. Please include your availability in your cover letter.
The internship pays $17 per hour, or you can choose to receive school credit if your school offers it.

Overview
We are in need of a super-organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy art director and designer to work on a variety of projects with a healthy amount of independence. You will be collaborating closely with our team of designers, copywriters, strategists, and account managers, designing a steady stream of visual content for a major tech client.
