POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our developer is moving on to a new opportunity and we’re looking for a talented Web Designer & Developer to join our team! We’re a growing boutique design firm which allows this position to be a mix of multiple specialties. We’re looking for someone who not only has an absolute love of design, but a knack for code as well. This position requires full knowledge of the Shopify platform as well as Adobe XD. In addition to designing & developing websites, you’ll have the opportunity to join, learn, and work on multiple other facets of the studio as we continue to grow. This role requires strong coding skills, a killer design eye, the ability to work with feedback, meet studio deadlines, and of course, a love of our KFDS/Studio Fulchi style!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Design Website drafts in Adobe XD
+ Build out full Shopify websites with custom code
+ Meet with Design Lead for initial direction and feedback
+ Work through revisions
+ Support clients during their support period
+ Record Client Training Videos
+ Various other Studio tasks as we continue to grow

Graphic Design Internship, Hot Paper Lantern

The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, and other as assigned. The Graphic Design intern will report to the VP, Project Management for assignments and will assist with the development and design of graphics, logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned.
The Graphic Design Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Prepare images to coincide with social and blog posts
  • Assist with website and blog updates via WordPress and Webflow
  • Creation and updates of brand collateral
  • Creation of decks in Google Slides and PowerPoint
  • Other projects as assigned

Job Requirements: 

  • Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments

We are looking for enterprising students to join our New York office as part of our media team. Our studio predominantly focuses on digital interfaces and immersive media-driven projects. The backbone of the work that we do consists of exhibition design and museums, having recently opened projects such as the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, Tennessee, and U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

As an intern you are an excited designer, open to learning and creative dialogue with the ability to work collaboratively in a fluid studio environment. The internships will be composed of time working with our multidisciplinary teams in the office in order to get a sense of our overall process.

Motion Design Intern

As a Motion Graphics Design intern at G&A, you are passionate about pushing the limits of storytelling through visuals, pace, and motion for a wide range of projects and formats. You have some solid foundations in After Effects and/ or C4D, and keep yourself informed with motion trends, tools, and plug-ins on a daily basis. Our work in the studio spans from mood-board creation, motion samples for interactive, style frames for films, and large-scale immersive environments using projection mapping. You are eager to learn the multi-faceted aspect of our work and open to a learning and creative dialogue with the ability to work collaboratively in a fluid studio environment. You will have the unique opportunity to work and learn from our multi-disciplinary teams in NYC, PDX, and DC, by contributing actively to our projects under other designers mentorship and creative supervision.
Qualified candidates should have:

  • Experience working with After Effects and/or Cinema 4d.
  • A strong visual background with great sensitivity to typography and graphic design skills
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Working knowledge of other 3d softwares, creative coding, prototyping tools and projection mapping is a plus.
  • Motivation to expand your skills in the intersection of physical and digital.

frog Design Mentorship Program

The frog Mentors Program aims to provide exposure and access to Design Thinking and Human Centered Design to under-represented students. 

Exposure to Design
Through the introduction of various career paths, disciplines of practice and beginning with some basic rituals, we initiate potential designers into the design process. We believe that is important to take a step-by-step approach, without asking a young student to understand the intricacies and complexity of the entirety of the world of Design and all it has to offer. We also believe that this is a program that may provide access to a potential career choice, as well as a place for exploration and discovery. 

Practice Makes Perfect
Choosing an area of Practice takes a lot of time, exploration and experience. We would like to demonstrate the various disciplines within which we work, but we structure our program around using Human Centered Design as the core component. Providing a glimpse into the rituals, the practical tasks, the rhythm and the lifestyle is important to introducing design. As students move through their education, it will be more appropriate to reframe our program to include more craft-related guidance and activities.

Social Impact Marketing Summer Fellow
TaskForce seeks a summer Fellow interested in social impact marketing. The Fellow will report to the Director of Social Impact Marketing and provide support in client projects and outreach. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. This is a remote, paid fellowship.
The Social Impact Marketing Fellow will learn about and contribute to:

A day in the life…
The Current Series team seeks a self-motivated candidate who is curious, passionate about animation, embraces innovation, and has a strong desire to learn and grow. Here’s some of what you can expect:

  • Extensive reading and script coverage
  • Learning the basics of the production pipeline for 11 minute and 22 minute series
  • Shadowing executives at all relevant meetings, notes sessions, board pitches, and screenings
  • In depth training tips for note generation on scripts, storyboards, and animatics.
  • Assist in building decks and acquiring assets for presentations, online conventions, and share outs
